Eastbrook Hall, formerly the Methodist Cathedral of the North had become derelict, following disuse in the 1980s and a serious fire in 1996. Perhaps the most important landmark and listed building of the 55 that make up the 20 acre Little Germany Conservation Area, it was brought back into use through an innovative public-private partnership led by Yaseen and Stephen, whilst working for Bradford Centre Regeneration.
This challenging project, required determination, innovation and strong partnership working, governed through a unique public-private funding agreement, where English Partnership, Bradford Centre Regeneration, City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council and Regen 2000 SRB Partnership/ Yorkshire Forward jointly contributed £4m toward a £12m project. The Princes Regeneration Trust gave guidance and expertise to the project team.
Aldersgate Estates, completed redevelopment of Eastbrook Hall with 73 apartments encicrling a central courtyard with basement parking. The retail and commercial spaces fronting Leeds Road benefit from being behind the fantastic restored Grade II listed facades that were rebuilt stone by stone. In November 2008, the Bradford Centre Regeneration team enjoyed meeting His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales when he opening the building.
